Beauty, Majesty, and Power
This is more of a personal post than what I typically write about, but I just wanted to share some thoughts on the awesomeness of God.
My family and I go to the beach as often as possible, and yesterday when I was standing in the waves enjoying the peace of the turbulent ocean, I thought about how incredible the ocean is as just one of God's creations. He made something so beautiful, and yet so dangerous and powerful, in perpetual motion constantly being affected by a rotating giant sphere flying in an elliptical path about 240,000 miles away from our Earth.
Then while I was standing there I thought about the biggest and best wave pools in the world, and how pitiful they are compared to God's work. Limitless funding, huge demand, with the most advanced technology mankind can muster, and it's not even close.
It's not just that God's creation is incredible, but He simply spoke it all into existence in a matter of 6 days, and it was entirely effortless.
Psalm 147:4-5 "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite."
