This poetic prayer was written by the most holy person I have ever met. This is the prayer of someone that walks with God yet desires to walk ever closer. Our prayer life should bring us closer to God and more in alignment with His Will, and not ours.
Dear Father
Keep me focused on you
Give me extravagant love for others
Give me a listening ear
Power of the Spirit to live a holy life
May your Spirit do the growth work in me
Love your word
Let me be constantly grateful
Let Christ's love spill out of me
Forget myself
Think on those things that are true - noble beautiful - the best
To be content
Wise mind and tuned to His will
Make me unto what gives you, my Father, the most pleasure.
