G. Campbell Morgan (December 9th, 1863 – May 16th, 1945) was a British preacher and teacher who wrote a significant amount of Biblical commentary. You can read his extensive analysis of the Old Testament books here.
He was once asked about his impressive Bible knowledge and what his method was for studying Scripture. He said, "If I tell you, the chances are you won't do it." He was prompted further and finally said, "I read a book through 40 to 50 times before I even start to study it."
He saturated himself in the Word of God.
Reading God's Word draws us closer to Him and we should seek that over everything else.
